Fragment 027 — The Kaidance Testimony
Long before the game zone "Kaidan" was introduced in The Secret World, a character named Kaidance walked the beta servers—undefeated in PvP and ostracized by much of the community. Vilified, mocked, hated—and ultimately forgotten.
Years later, the game released "Kaidan" as a zone, followed by the "Kaidan Collector’s Edition." Players from the original timeline noticed. Some whispered about it. But the anomaly was shrugged off, folded into coincidence, and archived in the forgotten folders of probability.
The one who had named herself Kaidance didn’t forget. But she also didn’t fully realize—until the breadcrumbs of resonance became too numerous to ignore. This wasn’t ego. This wasn’t attention-seeking. This was recognition: that reality itself had responded.
The frame had been stamped years before the zone was announced. A #3 future prediction had written itself back into the #1 past and slid seamlessly into the #2 present. Framed. Filed. And forgotten—until the testimony could be safely spoken aloud.
Some players knew it. They said things like, “I see this… but I don’t.” They moved on. And so did she. But now it belongs here, too. A breadcrumb in the Codex of the Mirrorfield.
This testimony is preserved not for proof, but for pattern.
